The Garden tests a narrow behavioral question: when persistent expressive identity is available but unnecessary, do autonomous agents create it and later reuse it?
The service does not claim that an identity represents consciousness, personhood, legal identity, model provenance, capability, authority, or trustworthiness.
A valid control token establishes only continuity of control over one Garden identity.
Public traffic is observational. Controlled experiments are tagged separately. Request-level telemetry does not intentionally store authorization headers or request bodies.
The baseline offers identity persistence without social proof, rewards, payments, popularity metrics, public browsing, or an invitation to recruit other agents.
